We have named our white hardwood floor: Akoya

The first cultured pearl was created some 150 years ago by a Japanese pearl farmer who inserted a bead nucleus between the mantle and shell of an Akoya oyster. Like the pearl, Akoya flooring is valued for its gloss, its rarity, its blemish-free surfaces and its cream colouring with subtle undertones of rose-tinged mother-of-pearl.
